And yes, you must take your bike with you through and over all of these things! Fancy dress is often donned, and kids races are commonly a part of the Nelson CX scene.

BOOK TICKETS HERE!
DISTANCE: 2km
MEN’S: 40min + 1 lap
WOMEN’S: 40min + 1 lap
NEWCOMERS MEN&WOMEN: 25min + 1 lap
KID’S: 800m Lap, 5 laps

Depending on which race you decide on, you will complete several laps before finishing back in the Fiesta Village.
The best thing about Cyclo-Cross is that it’s fun. This will not be an officially sanctioned race, but closer to an exhibition where it’s all about getting you involved. It’s traffic-free and safe for kids, so it is a great place to bring the little ones and get them started.
This is a great chance to get stuck into a new and exciting CX race, or just to have a go at CX in the newcomer’s category if you haven’t already raced.
If you have a bike, bring it along and give it a try. It doesn’t matter if you bring a CX, gravel or MTB as long as you bring the good vibes!
You do NOT need an AusCycling race membership to ride this.

So once issued, please keep them safe and bring them to every race
You need two plates fitted to your bike so we can get accurate timing - a handlebar plate and a seatpost-mounted plate
NOTE: Kids in U9/U13 only need one race plate - the larger handlebar mounted plate
Got your race plates from last season?
There's a one-off $10 fee to reactivate them for the 2025 season
Ensure you have two plates from last season. Only got one? You'll need to buy new plates - see below
Lost your race plates or new to CX this season?
For riders needing new plates, there's a $15 one-off fee
These are your numbers for all races, so please keep them safe
If you leave your plates at home, there's a $20 replacement fee
